As Friars are Advocates of Canine Rights. We also help return lost dogs to their owners.
If you find a dog, we have a chip reader available.
We now have three rescues. One is currently trained as a Service Dog for PTSD, and another is in the process of being trained as a Diabetic & PTSD Service Dog for our friars, and finally, we have an emotional support dog all trained by one of our friars who is a Certified Dog Trainer. Most importantly, our fur babies are members of our family, well-loved & cared for.
Dogs, who give us their complete love and loyalty, should not be denied the most basic of needs, such as Security, Food, Water, Shelter, Warmth, and most importantly – Love.
While some people have dogs for such use as service & working or guard dogs, we believe one four-legged furry friend(s) should be loved as a Member of the Family, and if you are not going to do this then don’t bother to get one, because they look at us as a member of their pack – their family. And Yes, even a working dog needs love, proper attention, and special care.
Dogs should be as important to us as any member of the family. There are laws in our city for the protection of these lovely creatures and we ask that if you’re going to get a dog, please learn and follow the rules necessary for the sake of your furry family member.
We also do Dog Blessings twice a year:
